Hi! I am new to this forum and hope I am posting in the right area. I have a question about Community Service and where to list that in Edu-Track. I want to keep up with the Community Service Projects (starting in 9th grade) and the number of hours spent doing each service. I am a little overwhelmed with setting up the Edu-Track but I think it will be wonderful once I get everything entered and can start using it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do document your community service under the Student Data tab (use the Achievements tab. If you want to track community service as "Core," you could put this under your Social Studies. If as an "Elective," you could setup a Subject called Life Skills and document this there.
Hope this helps!

Thank you Brian. I will place community service under Achievements. I am wondering if I can divide the types of service (i.e., church, community, etc) and place each type of service under a different heading. Again, thank you for your help.

Having graduated my first student this past May, the service and volunteer hours we asked about frequently on admission and scholarship applications. They wanted to know the service group's name, type of service performed, when the service was performed and number of hours. The ACHIEVEMENT area does not have room for all that information. I prefer the FIELD TRIP area. It gives space for the required information and leaves plenty of room for detailed description.

you could also create an excel sheet, include columns for date/service/service group/hours/ etc. and copy it, or attach the file to the file cabinet.
